Who I am

Hello readers,

I am Kay N. Maxwell.

I’m a retired veteran from the USAF, a dark romance author, and the kind of extreme introvert who’d rather fall in love with fictional characters than make small talk at social events. I fence for fun, spoil my dogs like they’re royalty, and have a habit of staying up way too late reading books that detroy my inner peace—in the best way.

I’ve always been drawn to stories that blur the line between pain and pleasure. I’m not interested in safe or simple. I write for the people that crave more—something a little twisted, a little tender, and completely unforgettable.

Lord of Dirt will be my debut novel—a dark, dangerous, and deeply emotional ride through obsession, power, and surrender. It’s the start of something wild, and I’m so excited to share it with everyone.
